CHU CHU LOO
Description
Marylynda MacDonald is the founder of the American fashion brand Chu Chu Loo. She is an artist and designer who draws inspiration from her late feline friend, Chu Chu Loo, after whom the brand is named. Chu Chu Loo, the cat, is the muse and animal spirit behind the collection, and his images are celebrated throughout the designs. Marylynda's art is integrated into the signature Perez Print of splattered paint pants, which was inspired by real estate mogul Jorge Perez. He commissioned the designer's first commercial project, which was one of many. In addition to designing fashion, Marylynda's artistic works include murals, faux finishes, abstract paintings, and Venetian Stucco. She has received numerous awards for her craftsmanship, which has had a direct influence on the aesthetic and collection of Chu Chu Loo.
The collection is sophisticated, elegant, and designed by a woman for all women. It is born out of artistic expression and an ethos of individualism, using the finest quality fabrics. The Chu Chu Loo collection aims to enhance a woman's natural elegance and bring out the artist within. With a background of 16 years in visual arts and design, Marylynda MacDonald created Chu Chu Loo to provide women with bold, colorful pieces that accentuate natural beauty. The brand has gained a steadily growing celebrity fan base and has been worn by celebrities such as Karrueche, Teri Hatcher, and Danielle Staub.
