Rental Policies

  • If you rent a car from Car Rental Naples FL, your husband, wife, or partner can drive the car too, for free, if they meet the same age and driver’s license rules as you.
  • If you want someone else to drive the car, they have to come with you when you rent the car. They also have to meet our age and driver’s license rules. There is a one-time fee of $35 for each extra driver.
  • If you are renting a car with a debit card, only your husband, wife, or partner can be an extra driver.

Your responsibility for the car ends once an employee from Car Rental Naples FL checks the car the next business day.

  • All drivers must be at least 21 years old.
  • If you are under 25 years old, you will need to pay a one-time fee of $35.

Our Damage Waiver (DW) costs $19.99-24.99 per day, depending on the type of car you rent. You can choose to add DW when you rent the car for an extra daily fee. If you buy DW, Car Rental Naples FL will waive or lower your responsibility for any loss or damage to the car. This includes things like towing, storage, loss of use, extra fees, and any decrease in the car’s value, as long as you follow the rental agreement and laws.

If you select our refueling service you pay for the fuel when you rent the car. You can then return the car with an empty tank. There are no refunds for any fuel you don’t use.

  • You must show a valid, unexpired driver’s license with your photo. Digital licenses are not accepted. The license must be valid for the whole rental period.

  • If you have a Connecticut or Delaware license, check with the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles to see if your license is valid in Florida. For Customers from Other Countries:

  • You need to show your valid, unexpired home country driver’s license with a photo.
  • If your license is not in English (or French for Canada) but uses English letters (like German or Spanish), an International Driver’s Permit (IDP) is recommended but not required.
  • If your license is in a language with non-English letters (like Russian, Japanese, or Arabic), you must also show an IDP. If you can’t get an IDP, you can use a professional, typed translation.
  • You cannot rent a car with just an IDP; it’s only a translation and must be presented with your home country license.
  • You might need to show extra documents like a passport or travel documents.

Other Rules:

  • We do not accept photocopies of driver’s licenses.
  • We also don’t accept learner’s permits, or licenses requiring a breathalyzer.
  • Temporary licenses may be refused if we can’t verify your identity. You may need to show an extra government-issued ID.

All First time payments that are not in person require a  Stripe ID verification to identify our customers and prevent fraud.

If you don’t have one of our accepted payment methods listed above, you will need to pay for the whole rental car in cash. You will also need to pay a $200 deposit in cash and a $50 deposit on the card you use. If you’re renting for more than one week, you need to come back to our office to renew the contract for another week.

You can buy Roadside Assistance Protection (RAP) for an extra fee. If you buy RAP, we will cover the cost of 24/7 roadside assistance. This includes:

  • Replacing lost keys (including remote entry devices)
  • Flat tire service (if there is no spare tire, we will tow the car. The cost of a new tire is not covered)
  • Lockout service (if you lock the keys inside the car)
  • Jumpstarts
  • Fuel delivery (up to 3 gallons if you run out of fuel)

You will need your full name, location and vin number on the car. The vin number is located on the side of the driver door where the door closes.

Renter Requirements

  • All renters and additional drivers must be 21 or older.
  • All renters must have a valid driver’s license and a major credit card or debit card in their name.
  • Individuals with learner’s or instructional permits cannot rent a car.

Debit Card Policy

Debit cards are accepted at the time of rental under certain conditions. Please ask for more details when you make your reservation.

  • The name and address on your driver’s license must match your current home address.
  • If your debit card must have a Mastercard, Visa, or Discover logo. If not you will need to pay for the entire rental term and a $200 deposit in cash, plus a $100 deposit on the card you present.
  • Active duty military personnel are exempt from address requirements.
  • Besides the renter’s spouse or domestic partner, no other additional drivers are allowed.
  • Renters using a debit card can rent the following vehicle classes: Economy, Full-Size cars, Minivans, and Standard SUVs with seating for up to 5 passengers.
  • If you use a debit card to pay, the money will be taken from your account. If this causes your account to go below zero, you will have to pay any extra fees from your bank.

INSURANCE VERIFICATION 

When you rent a car, you must show proof that you have transferable car insurance that covers accidents, damage, and liability for any car rented from Car Rental Naples FL.

The Estimated Total for the rental in the email reservation confirmation will be charged to the form of payment provided by Renter. If the rental as reserved is modified, the estimated total amount for the rental may change and would still be charged to the form of payment provided by Renter. 

At the time of the rental, Renter will sign a rental contract (the “Contract”) which applies to the rental and includes a Rental Agreement Summary and the Additional Terms and Conditions. 

DEPOSIT AMOUNT

To account for Renter potentially incurring additional amounts owed under the Contract, a deposit of $250, will be required from Renter at the time of the rental.   

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Renter must use an above listed form of payment for the deposit amount.  The deposit amount will not be available for use by Renter and/or refunded to Renter until after the vehicle has been returned.
  • If you owe more money under the contract, we may take it from your deposit. If we don’t take it from your deposit, we will charge it to your payment method unless Renter provides a different above listed form of payment
  • If you use a debit card to pay, the money will be taken from your account. If your account doesn’t have enough money and goes below zero, you will be responsible for any overdraft fees incurred.
  • Money orders and prepaid cards are not acceptable forms of payment at the time of rental, including for the deposit amount, but may be used to pay any amounts due at the end of the rental after the vehicle has been returned.  You can also use cash to make the payment
  • All the Charges and fees you owe will either be put on hold and then charged to your credit or debit card, or directly charged to your debit card.
